About the CFC

The field of Finance, considered in its most encompassing sense is among one of the branches of knowledge that has underwent the most changes in past times, providing the opportunity for a challenging and complex field of studies, be it for current or future professionals. A modern Business School cannot do without a solid Finance department, in line with the central values that guide the Institution.

The Accounting, Finance and Control Department, the CFC, at EAESP, has the mission of providing updated and relevant content for teaching in the diverse courses that the institution provides, as well as foster knowledge production and dissemination in its field of expertise, with a high sense of ethics, quality and adequacy.

The CFC counts on forty highly specialized faculty members, which includes professors, PhDs and masters from highly regarded institutions in Brazil and abroad with corporate and academic experience. It is the faculty’s responsibility, according to profile and interest, to teach, research, publish, advise students, take part in collegiate bodies, work in Study Centers and carry out administrative roles.

The disciplines under the department’s responsibilities are imparted to over a hundred classes, in the undergraduate, specialization, masters and PhD courses. Several disciplines are given in English for foreign students.

The main topics are distributed among the fields of Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Controlling and Banking, where each one of them addresses the following topics:

Corporate Finance: Financial Administration; International Finance; Capital Investment Analysis; Company Valuation; Generating Value for Shareholders; Real Options; Capital Cost and Structure; Financial Strategy; Private Equity and Venture Capital; Simulation Models in Finance,

Financial Markets: Capital and Financial Markets; Financial Hedging and Markets; Futures Market, Forward Market and Swaps; Financial Engineering; Portfolio Management; Financial Asset Evaluation and Analysis; Investment Fund Management.

Controlling: Financial Accounting, Management Control, Cost Accounting, Tax Aspects, Audit, Financial Analysis, Financial Planning, Cost Systems

Banking: Financial Management in Banks.

The CFC has the constant mindset of staying up to speed and relevant, therefore it encourages, supports and counts on its direct and indirect employees to fulfill its mission.
