Created in 1954, EAESP's mission is to produce leaders for Brazil's processes of advancement, producing and disseminating knowledge relevant to the reflection and practice of Business Administration; its vision is to be a school that is internationally recognized for its excellence.

EAESP has accreditations from the EFMD – European Foundation for Management Development (EQUIS seal – European Quality Improvement System) and the AACSB – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, organizations that avail excellence in international administration education. The Professional Master's in Business Administration (MPA) and OneMBA courses are also accredited by the AMBA – The Association of MBAs.
 
Since its inception in 1954, FGV-EAESP has stood out for its pioneering actions: it was the first Business Administration school outside the United States; it created the first Graduate Education program and the first Professional Master's in Business Administration in Brazil and was also the first private Brazilian school to offer refundable scholarships to its students.

EAESP is the most internationalized Business Administration School in the country in terms of agreements, alliances, student and faculty mobility, double diplomas and international partnerships for conducting research; all these factors put EAESP at a privileged level in national and international evaluations and rankings.
