International Accreditations

The Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo da Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV/EAESP) is one of the few Business Schools worldwide which is accredited by the three main accreditors of business schools – AACSB, EFMD and AMBA. In Brazil, FGV/EAESP is the sole institution with recognized quality by these three accreditors, the single school to possess the triple-crown accreditation.

The accreditation is a volunteered, non-governmental and continuous process of quality evaluation of educational institutions and its programs, performed by a specialized organization, by explicit criteria and based on best management practices and quality of business schools.

AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business

AACSB International is an organization established in the United States of America, formed by educational institutions, companies and other entities in several countries. The AACSB is the oldest of accreditations for business schools in the world and focuses on continuous improvement of the quality of teaching and research in the administration field, regarding engagement, innovation and impact. FGV/EAESP received the initial AACSB accreditation in 2000, the first Brazilian school to obtain this international accreditation.

EFMD/EQUIS – European Foundation for Management Development/ EFMD Quality Improvement System

EFMD is an organization stablished in Belgium, formed by members of the academic community, the public service and in companies of several countries. The organization focuses on the development of managerial skills and entrepreneurial managers, in addition to research and the level of internationalization of institutions. FGV/EAESP received initial accreditation EFMD/EQUIS in 2001, also being the first Brazilian school to obtain this international accreditation.

AMBA – The Association of MBAs

AMBA is an organization stablished in England, formed by members of the academic community and companies from different countries. AMBA focuses on the quality of education in the curriculum of the programs and the internationalization of institutions. AMBA accredits the portfolio of MBA programs (Masters of Business Administration), DBA (Doctorate of Business Administration) and MBM (Masters in Business and Management) of business schools worldwide. FGV/EAESP received initial accreditation from AMBA for its MBA programs in 2004.

ICAPA - International Commission on Accreditation of Public Administration Education and Training Programs

ICAPA is a committee formed by members of the academic community and the public service in several countries, with headquarters in Belgium, linked to IASIA - International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration, created to evaluate academic programs and public administration executives from Standards of Excellence established jointly with the United Nations. The MPGPP program (Professional Master in Management and Public Policy) received initial accreditation from ICAPA in 2014.
