Objective: The program intends to form graduate-level public administrators, as well as highly qualified teachers and researchers oriented to analyzing the State and government policies.
The objective of the program is to train professionals and researchers to contribute to educating on and assessing the impact of public policies – Policy Analyst – in the current context. A Master's student education must allow students to reflect and act within a scenario to redefine the role played by the State, including administrative reform agenda, organization changes and developments, and new forms of partnership between the public and the private sectors to transform the relations between the State and society and improve the quality of public services.
Target public: For Social Sciences, Business Administration, Economics and the like graduates interested in going deeper in Political Sciences and Political Economics applied to Public Administration.
Degree granted: Master of Public Administration and Government
Research Lines: Currently, the program is organized in 3 research lines. The student will develop his/her dissertation related to one of the research lines, that will be selected upon registration for the selection process and used as main base of knowledge to develop his/her work.
Course duration: Academic Master's Program will last at least 12 months and at most 30 months.
Course load: Academic Master's students must obtain 30 credit hours following the structure below:

Credit Acknowledgement: Students can seek exemption or credit acknowledgement for subjects already taken, pursuant to specific requirements set forth on the Graduate Program Rules. The decision will be made by the Graduate Program Coordinator, after consulting the Departments of Teaching and Research.
Tutors: Students will assigned a tutor to assist them with their general study planning, choosing subjects, writing and publishing articles, in addition to preparing their dissertation, essay or thesis.
Agreements and Exchange Programs: FGV-EAESP has agreements with top-quality and prestigious foreign institutions for the exchange of its students. Exchange programs are considered important not only because they allow our students the opportunity to follow part of its program abroad, but also because of the international atmosphere provided by foreign students who spend a semester at FGV-EAESP. These programs are run by the International Relations Coordination (CRI). To participate, students have to go through a selection process.
