GVresearch plays the fundamental role of supporting research at FGV-EAESP, by encouraging public assets productions related to Fundação Getulio Vargas's general mission to “Break through knowledge frontiers of Social Sciences and the like, producing and transmitting ideas, data, information, besides preserving and organizing them, in order to contribute to Brazil's social and economic development, to improving Brazilian ethical standards, to responsible and shared governance, and to the insertion of Brazil in the international scenario.”

Some GVresearch actions related to research: manage research scholarships for undergraduates and graduates; support with research expenses, including trips and material; translation of assignments for conferences; support to event and seminar organization and an extensive Research Initiation Program (PIP). All research reports published with the support of GVresearch are available free of charge for download (PDF format), allowing access to researchers from all over the world. GVresearch may also provide printed versions upon request.
